I work best when I can see the full picture — the site, the goal, and what's getting in the way. No need to have it perfectly scoped first. No need to have tried nothing first either, but it helps.

Helpful things to mention

  • What's broken, slow, or not doing what it should?
  • What have you already tried?
  • What outcome actually matters here?
  • Any tools, plugins, apps, or APIs involved? (Listing 20 plugins as 'required' is a clue, not a constraint.)

You don't need a polished brief — a few sentences is enough to get started.
